Welcome to this focus on Naidex45 manual wheelchair exhibitors. We’re looking at the wide range of manual wheelchairs that will be at Naidex at the end of March. If you are thinking about attending, then you should register for tickets. It is free to register and takes a couple of seconds.
Manual wheelchairs come in a huge range of differences. From the ultralight active wheelchairs to the light weight wheelchairs that aim to give independence on a budget, there is something for everyone. We will give you a good look at the wider range today and cover some more specific products later in the week.
Carbon Black at Naidex45
The original Carbon Black wheelchair was designed to be a lightweight wheelchair with the looks to turn heads. The Carbon Black 2 will not change that, with the promise of letting wheelchair users make a positive and lasting first impression.
Since the original Carbon Black, there has been a lot more carbon fibre wheelchairs launched. The Carbon Black is still the only wheelchair that we know of that includes LED lighting built in. Importantly the price has now dropped to around £4,000 for the basic wheelchair.

Naidex45 manual wheelchairs from Invacare
As many of us are aware, Invacare are the UK channel for Kuschall Wheelchairs, which includes the venerable K-Series ultra-light. We love the K-Series for it’s neat design and ability to be configured quickly. There is a big a range of versions – carbon, titanium, aluminium, graphene… ok – we made the last one up being the K-Series.
Invacare also make the Action range, which are lightweight manual wheelchairs. Not everyone needs an ultralight wheelchair and this is why the active lightweight wheelchairs make a good option. The Action 5 rigid is their latest wheelchair.
If you need a power add-on, the Alber range will also be on show. The Alber power wheels and the E-Pilot hand bike will be available for you to try. The Alber wheels give that extra bit of speed and maintaining momentum and the E-Pilot will pull you along whilst you go longer distances.

Naidex45 manual wheelchairs from Progeo
We are continually impressed with Progeo. The frames are beautifully designed and the wheelchairs very reliable. This year Progeo will be showcasing their active ultralight wheelchairs and their new Tilt in Space manual wheelchair.
The Tekna Tilt 2.0 will be on show. If you have a higher clinical need from your seating, this is an alternative to a power chair. It offers a recline up to 40 degrees and individual leg positions. There is a range of colour options as well.
One of our favourite wheelchairs from Progeo is the Joker R2. We’ve heard hints about new elements to the Joker R2 around the caster forks, so will certainly be taking a look. We like how this is a great alternative to the K-Series or Quickie Argon. If carbon fibre is more your thing though, have a look at the Progeo Duke.

RGK Wheelchairs
We know that RGK will be announcing something on 15 March and won’t be giving you a spoiler. Meanwhile you can also expect to see the Tiga Sub4, the Tiga FX and the Octane Sub4. For bespoke wheelchairs, RGK can be considered the Naidex45 manual wheelchair experts.
We love the way that the Tiga FX folds and yet is still ultra-light. It offers a bespoke build with the folding flexibility. If you travel a lot and need to put your wheelchair in tight spaces, the Tiga FX is a great wheelchair.
The Tiga Sub4 is one of the lightest wheelchairs in the world. The thing we love about the weight is that you can add a decent cushion or power assist to get a reasonable overall weight. The build quality is excellent as well.

Quickie Wheelchairs
Quickie have been quite busy this year with their wheelchair range. If you’re looking for a lightweight wheelchair with rigid or folding options, the Quickie Life range is one option to consider. Built with easy configuration options, the Quickie Life can provide a robust solution with great upholstery.
The wide range of Quickie active ultralight wheelchairs start with the Argon and Neon. The Argon is a rigid frame wheelchair and the Neon is a folding frame wheelchair. If you need lighter, the Helium and Xenon are the rigid and folding lightweight wheelchairs to consider.
The Krypton F is the carbon fibre wheelchair that combines the unique compressed cross brace with the carbon braid technology to enable an incredibly light weight folding wheelchair. Alternatively, the Krypton R is the rigid frame variant. The Krypton R is lighter still and offers a configurable wheelchair with limited options and a clear price.

Ottobock, Wolturnus and Recare
Recare are working with Ottobock again this year to showcase their range of wheelchairs including the ultralight Ventus and the lightweight Motus. As well as this, the Wulturnus W5 will be on show.
