I have to be honest – I thought loops with June would sound like an awesome old lady who did aerobatics in a Cessna Airplane. None the less, I have been bouncing around – just on the Loopwheels, which are with us on long term test.
A couple of weeks ago, they were out with me whilst filming and they were pretty decent off-road, taking all the shock out of bumps in grass and gravel paths. However, I didn’t spend much time on them as I was busy with another device (more soon, I promise). So today I went out and deliberately ensured I had the Loopwheels on to get a couple of photos.

I’d actually promised the children a trip out so figured (as you do) – I like trains, the children like rides on trains… why not visit the model engineers near our house? What I didn’t figure into this was rough ground, with uneven paving and train tracks you have to actually step or roll over. I was quite glad of the Loopwheels here, because it meant I didn’t have to take the shock of the terrain up my spine.
There was one other thing though – since it was a model engineering club, the ladies (Loops with June!) and gents took a keen interest in the wheels too – sadly my phone was in my pocket to get a photo of them all admiring the innovation of a sprung loop. I’ll be back there though – I suspect it’s a good location for a photo shoot at some point…

Maintaining the Loopwheels has taken me very little up until now – I’ve pumped the tyres up to 100psi, which is about right. I’d normally have more pressure on my road wheels, so for these, the lower pressure allows a little more give.
