Naidex – Day 2 ICYMO

Naidex News

aidex Day 2 ICYMO (In Case You Missed Out) featured a surprise day two for us as we didn’t expect to be there.  None the less, a day packed full of great products – so lets get on with our Naidex Day 2 ICYMO, starting with…

RGK Wheelchairs

We had a quick look at the new Tiga Sub4 – named because it weighs under 4kg. We took a shine to this chair (see the photos below) and it is a lovely piece of design, with Aerospace grade 7 aluminium, fixed backrest and low profile cross braces.  It also has lightweight sideguard and brake mounting systems.  This chair is great for every day active use and we look forward to telling you more about it in due course.  Meanwhile, pay a visit to them at Stand F15.

Cyclone

A small UK manufacturer, Cyclone have a wide array of manual and hand bikes, as well as their off-road wheelchair.  Although we’ll be hoping to pull all the info in from them tomorrow, we recommend a visit to look at the hand bikes especially at Stand F19

Invacare Küschall

We had a better look at the Küschall Champion SK today – this chair is a miracle if you want a wheelchair that folds down to a small box.  If you travel with airlines regularly or have a small car – this wheelchair is ultralight and tiny.

We also took a look at the Küschall Series K – a smart looking wheelchair which is very nimble.  If you are an active user, again this is another strong contender in the market. Invacare are with the Midshire stand on G39.

Laybrook

Not a wheelchair – when rest was needed, these guys let our editor Dominic borrow a bed for 10 minutes so he could stop and rest.  Hats off to the two guys who didn’t bat an eyelid when asked – visit www.laybrook.com and have a look at their bed offers – verified as comfortable by Dominic!

Tomorrow we look forward to an electric wheelchair focus – join us for Day 3 at Naidex on Facebook and Twitter, where we’ll be putting up live video streams when we can.  Meanwhile, you can join in the conversation online with us on Facebook – head over to our page and leave us a message on our status.

A wheelchair user for 20 years, Dominic looks at how a wheelchair works for its user base, not the brochure. Dominic is our lead editor.
