Invacare has launched three new Küschall active manual wheelchairs this month. The new chairs (The Champion SK, K-Series and R-Series) are all lightweight wheelchairs that have been designed to offer unique benefits to the user.
The Küschall Champion SK, evolved from the Champion, now folds even smaller, with the chair no bigger than an A4 binder when folded down. With a high number of configurations and options promised, the Champion SK will be one of the smallest folding wheelchairs on the market.
The Küschall K-Series, a fully rigid wheelchair, is now half a Kg lighter than before whilst accommodating an increased weight of up to 130Kg. The weight unfolded with wheels is 7.8Kg and without wheels for transportation is just 5.2Kg. It also has even more configuration options, including new adjustable back upholstery and colours.
Just some of the new features include Carbo Life ergonomic hand rims specifically designed to reduce fatigue and provide extra grip for efficient propelling; new stylish tension backrest upholstery; a wider range of sizes on Spinergy wheels; new Aluminium soft roll front castors plus stunning new colours including modern Neon frame colours as an option.
The Küschall R-Series, derived from the R-33 concept, has a unique low-impact shock absorbing system whilst managing to also reduce in weight by half a Kg. The weight with standard wheels is 8.6Kg whilst for transportation without wheels is 6Kg. With a wide range of colours and customisation opportunities, this wheelchair is a strong new potential in the rigid frame active wheelchair market.
All information can be found on the Invacare website – we hope to be reviewing these wheelchairs in the future.
