One lucky winner has many E-Pilot adventures ahead after Invacare ran a competition to win an Alber E-Pilot on Facebook. The competition, which required people to share a post and complete an online form, drew lots of interest, with Rachel Broxton being chosen at random to win.

The competition followed a successful showcase at Naidex back in April, with considerable interest being shown. The E-Pilot is from the same people who make the E-motion power add on drives. It has the power to make a manual wheelchair into a sporty vehicle in just a few simple steps. It also has a significant specification including a range of up to 50km, the easyNavi wheelchair friendly navigation system and cruise control.
In July 2018 a delighted Rachel visited our factory to collect her prize and commented, “the e-pilot is just fabulous, it looks great and will give me the freedom that I need.” While the E-Pilot was being fitted by the Invacare Technical team, Rachel was given an overview of the product as well as a tour of the facilities in Pencoed before finishing off the day with a test drive/ride.

Asked what winning the E-Pilot means to her, Rachel said:
“this fabulous prize has given me life, I am going to be able to go out and access so many new places I would not have even been able to before due to my own capabilities of power and strength that’s needed every day.”
With a beaming smile, winner Rachel left with her brand-new E-Pilot proclaiming, “my adventures have just begun. Thanks to all involved, you have made me able to enjoy life again.”
