Naidex44 closed on a high, with several exciting product launches and some excellent products on show. With huge numbers of peopl visiting over the two days, here is a little recap of what was launched, what was new and what we thought.
Pre-Naidex44
Of course, we didn’t want you to miss out if you couldn’t get there – so we took to Facebook Live for everyone to get an idea about what would be on show for the two days. This was our first year doing a pre-show look and would love to know your thoughts in the comments please!
Alber E-Pilot launced at Naidex44
The add-on trike market is really crowded, with Triride, Klaxon and Batec all competing to offer the most effective add-on to enable a wheelchair user to get around on and off road. Alber think they have what it takes to compete with their new E-Pilot add on. They’re boasting a range of up to 50Km, which is significant. Also included are lights, Bluetooth phone control and USB charging.

We think this could be interesting, especially with that range (although we’d want to know how likely this is to achieve) – we’ll give you our verdict as soon as Invacare/Alber lend us one.
RGK goes Sub Titanium
With Quickie introducing the Krypton F and Krypton R, Progeo launching the Noir 2.0 – RGK remind us that sometimes existing materials are just as good. Roll forward the Sub4 Octane – this is the newest addition to the Sub4 range. With a weight of less than 4 Kg without cushion or wheels, the Sub4 Octane is a titanium wheelchair that offers even more of a weight saving where it matters.

Couple the Sub4 Octane with the Spinegy Carbon Blades and minimum upholstery, I would imagine you have one of the lightest possible combinations available today – giving anything fully carbon fibre a run for its money.
RGK are 30… and Sir Philip Craven MBE gives a bit of history
RGK celebrated their 30th birthday in style – with birthday cards and a celeb to tell us how things have changed! We did a Facebook Live and it’s here for you to watch.

wheelAIR keeps cool
We had a wheelAIR on our test-drive RGK Sub4 for the show, so I’m not going to say much here right now – they did win the prize for coolest freebie – a handheld fan! So, literally cool… unless someone was giving out cooling packs we didn’t know about?
wheelAIR were offering £100 off at the show and we know a few people have placed orders just in time before Naidex44 closed on a high – our verdict will be coming soon, too.
