User Avg

The Sunrise Quickie Helium is an ultra-light rigid frame manual wheelchair. Available in an array of colour combinations, the fixed frame wheelchair can be customised to meet many requirements.

A world in colour

Weighing in from 6.8kg, the frame is very light.  Whilst you can pick a main colour from the extensive list, the frame can also be off-set with colour accents and further complemented with coloured front caster stems.

A user can also add colour flashes to the seat fabric, too.

Smooth ride

The chair can be fitted out with 24 inch wheels, including Sunrise radial design and Spinergy spokes at 0, 2 or 4 degree camber.  Coupled with several brake options, the wheels can also have suspension added to the frame.

The suspension is sprung with shock absorbers, giving a limited about of movement over bumps without reducing the distance of the push rims from the user.  Coupled with optional FrogLegg front casters, the  ride can be as smooth as rolling on newly rolled footpath.

The Quickie Helium features quick release rear wheels and a folding backrest, which means that it can be placed in the front footwell or a car boot easily.  It is also crash tested, meaning you can travel in it whilst restrained in a moving vehicle.

The Helium is a popular wheelchair and it is easy to see why.  The Quickie Helium is easily customised and very versatile.  Regardless of being a new wheelchair user or someone looking to upgrade, the Helium can cater for most needs.  With options of Jay Backrests and e-motion wheels, the Helium can cater for a higher clinical need whilst maintaining the benefits of a lightweight frame.
