On January 2nd 2018, RGK opened the doors to reveal their brand new showroom at their headquarters in Staffordshire, equipped to showcase the range of wheelchairs available worldwide.
The redesigned showroom has been conceived as a part of the next phase for RGK, with the business going from strength to strength, with new partnerships, exciting new products and a thirst to stay the world leaders in sport and daily use wheelchair design and manufacturing.
Completed in the last few weeks of 2017, the new showroom has been designed by Fabio De Rosa, Head of Marketing for RGK along with Icon Exhibitions . The showroom uses ‘light design’ and features three up-lit glass platforms to display all examples of the company’s product range. RGK describe the light that “ricochets delightfully across the hand-made aluminium and titanium frames.” Alongside this, the walls feature some of RGK’s ambassadors, further demonstrating the capabilities of RGK wheelchair.
Earlier in the 2017, RGK also installed a permanent mini-exhibition in their entrance hall, with two of their most famous chairs on display for all to see. The first is Abdi Jama’s Wheelchair Basketball chair, the very chair that was part of the GB Men’s Wheelchair Basketball team that won Bronze at the Rio Paralympics in 2016. The second chair is Gordon Reid’s; this chair won Gold and Silver medals at Rio in the singles and doubles Wheelchair Tennis matches.
Michael Sheen, RGK Business Manager said: “This is a really big moment for us because it’s the start of what we want the RGK brand to look like worldwide; this is obviously where it starts at our HQ. The new brand will be rolling out across all of the buildings, but also to all of our dealers internationally as well.”
