Review My Wheelchair has won a £10,000 grant from the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation and Leonard Cheshire Disability this week as part of the Stelios Award for Disabled Entrepreneurs 2017 and becomes a finalist alongside 4 other entrepreneurs for an opportunity to win £30,000.
Dominic Lund-Conlon, founder of Review My Wheelchair, said:
“I’m incredibly humbled by this amazing opportunity given to me by Sir Stelios and Leonard Cheshire Disability. Review My Wheelchair was founded to give wheelchair users clear and unbiased information when making that difficult decision about their mobility. It is an honour that its potential has been recognised in this way.”
The judges said the competition was particularly tough this year, following a record number of 72 applications from business areas including fashion, retail, sport and leisure and tourism.
The overall winner of the £30,000 will be announced on 14 November in London.
