It has been announced that the Mobility Roadshow is to close after 34 years. Established in 1983, the roadshow has been a great opportunity for persons with mobility needs to identify wheelchairs, scooters and vehicles that will give them greater independence in their lives.
The charity Mobility Choice, who have ran the event since 1998, took the difficult decision, highlighting that other events such as Motability One Big Day have enabled better local opportunity throughout the year to car customers.
Ann Frye, chair of Mobility Choice, thanked everyone for their support for the Mobility Roadshow and said that they were in discusions with Driving Mobility about opportunities to enable local “Get Going Live” events for younger and newly disabled people.
